Fans are sadly saying goodbye to Charlie Blackmon, a popular player and team icon, as the Colorado Rockies begin a new chapter. Blackmon has been one of the Rockies’ most cherished players throughout his whole career, having joined the organisation upon his debut in 2011. He gained popularity both on and off the pitch thanks to his contagious spirit, clutch hitting, and unusual beard.
Numerous All-Star selections and a memorable 2017 season in which he led the National League in hits are just two examples of Blackmon’s enormous contributions to the Rockies. His commitment to the neighbourhood and his relationship with the fans cemented his place in Rockies history.
