PGA TOUR Q-School First Stage Standouts: Who’s Moving On

The initial results from the First Stage of the PGA TOUR Q-School, presented by Korn Ferry, were finalized on Friday, with 66 players advancing across three sites. These players now move on to the Second Stage, scheduled for late November and early December. Due to Hurricane Milton, the Ocala, Florida, site has been rescheduled to take place from October 28 to November 1.

Players who advance from the Second Stage will qualify for the Final Stage of Q-School, held at TPC Sawgrass’ Dye’s Valley Course and Sawgrass Country Club from December 12-15. At stake are PGA TOUR cards for the top five finishers (and ties). Those who do not place in the top five will earn Korn Ferry Tour membership for 2025, with status based on their final position.

The medalists from each First Stage site, unless they improve their standing in subsequent stages, will be exempt through the Latin America Swing of the 2025 PGA TOUR Americas season. So far, Hazen Newman, Spencer Cross, and Patrick Flavin have earned this exemption, with Flavin already securing a spot through his No. 33 finish in the 2024 PGA TOUR Americas’ Fortinet Cup.
