Bayern Munich ‘take first steps to sign Bruno Fernandes’ as Man Utd prep for summer chaos

Bayern Munich are reportedly putting plans in place to lure Bruno Fernandes to the Allianz Arena this summer.

The Manchester United man is said to be high up on the German giant’s transfer wishlist, despite the midfielder recently expressing no desire to leave Old Trafford.

Fernandes captained United to FA Cup glory this season, having been handed the armband by Erik ten Hag at the start of the campaign.

But according to reports from Portuguese outlet O Jogo, Fernandes’ agent has been in contact with Bayern over the possibility of a summer transfer.

What’s more, with the addition of former Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany as manager, the six-time European champions could once again focus their attention on players from England’s top flight.

However, it isn’t just Bayern who are said to be keen on the 29-year-old, with Barcelona having also having expressed an interest.

The La Liga side are believed to be a long-time admirer of Fernandes and could spring a move, should United show a willingness to sell this summer.
