BREAKING: Marcus Rashford issues injury update after being forced out of Man Utd’s draw against Liverpool

Despite having to withdraw due to injury, Marcus Rashford has reassured Manchester United supporters that he “will be okay.”

The Red Devils forward was included in Erik ten Hag’s starting lineup for Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Old Trafford against bitter rivals Liverpool. With a possible injury, he was replaced by Antony after a little more than an hour.Shortly after the last whistle, Ten Hag provided a positive update. He responded: “I’m not sure, but I don’t think it will be long term.”

Rashford has now allayed concerns about a protracted social media disappearance. The 26-year-old said on Instagram, “Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the game out.” My mascot for the day, my niece Natalia, gets a [heart emoji].

The striker responded to a fan who wrote, “Hope you’re okay, Rashy,” on his post by saying, “I will be okay!” and adding a praying emoji.

Given his unsatisfactory season thus far, Rashford would be further frustrated by any injury. This season, he has only scored eight goals across all competitions.

His performance against Chelsea was captured on viral video, which prompted harsh criticism from his fans. But against Liverpool, Ten Hag jumped to his defense and put Rashford back in the starting lineup.
