Tuesday is England’s second warm-up match against New Zealand before they begin their campaign on October 5 against Bangladesh.
Australia, the reigning champions, easily defeated England in their first T20 World Cup warm-up in Dubai.
In their chase of 163 to win, Heather Knight’s team got off to a strong start, but in just five overs, they fell from 90-2 to 105-8.
The only England batsman to score more than 20 was Alice Capsey, who led the team with 40 from 34 balls but lost by 33 runs when they were bowled out for 129 in 19.4 overs.
Scotland, who are playing in their inaugural tournament, will play Bangladesh on Thursday at the World Cup. On Saturday, October 5, England will play Bangladesh.
Opening kicker Beth Mooney’s 162-6 set up Australia’s victory.
