Erik ten Hag makes X-rated admission during FA Cup final interview as MUTV presenter forced to issue apology

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag made an X-rated admission during one of his post-FA Cup final interviews that prompted an apology from broadcaster MUTV.

Ten Hag’s United side beat Manchester City 2-1 at Wembley to secure their first trophy of what has been a challenging season.

Goals from academy graduates Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo were enough for United, who produced a superb performance to lift the FA Cup trophy in front of a sold-out Wembley.

Question marks over Ten Hag‘s future have been swirling for much of the past week, with The Guardian claiming on Friday that United had decided to part company with the Dutchman after the final.

Minority co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe refused to answer questions about his manager in the mixed zone after the final – although did make a short statement praising the team for their FA Cup success.

Ten Hag, meanwhile, robustly defended his position in an interview with BBC Sport, before then providing an honest assessment about his players, coaching staff and fans during his chat with MUTV – and he even gave his verdict on United’s 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace earlier this month.
