Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Erik ten Hag’s future as Manchester United boss.

There has been much speculation over whether Ten Hag will be at United next season after a topsy-turvy season that included a dismal eighth-placed league finish, the club’s lowest in the Premier League era.

However, Ten Hag appeared to give himself a fighting chance on Saturday after claiming a well-deserved 2-1 victory over Manchester Cityin the FA Cup final to become the first Unitedmanager since Sir Alex Ferguson to win silverware in successive seasons.

In the wake of his FA Cup triumph, Ten Hag boldly said: “If they don’t want me, then I will go somewhere else to win trophies because that is what I do.”

Meanwhile, Veteran defender Jonny Evans said he hoped Ten Hag would remain.

“You want a manager who shows trust and belief,” said the Northern Ireland skipper.
