Despite being carried off on a stretcher during the second half against Leicester City on Sunday, Manchester United defender Ayden Heaven may make a swift return following the international break.
This information was provided by the reputable Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic, who noted that the 18-year-old was seen at Carrington without a protective boot.
“Ayden Heaven has been at Carrington without a protective boot. One can infer from this that his return is likely to be soon after the international break,” he shared on the Talk of the Devil podcast.
Initially, it appeared to be a serious ankle injury, as the young center-back immediately requested medical assistance after falling to the ground following a seemingly harmless challenge with Patson Daka.

This was a significant setback for Ruben Amorim, particularly as the former Arsenal prospect was filling the left-sided centre-back position, an area where the team is critically lacking in depth.
Both Lisandro Martinez and Leny Yoro are already unavailable, and it appears that the January acquisition has now joined their ranks.
In the match against the Foxes, the head coach had to introduce Toby Collyer and young Harry Amass for his debut following the injury, as he chose to rearrange his lineup.
