Jamie Carragher interviews Jadon Sancho on CBS Sports in priceless exchange, Thierry Henry couldn’t believe it

Jamie Carragher conducted a hilarious post-match interview with Jadon Sancho following his sensational showing for Borussia Dortmund against Paris Saint-Germain.

Sancho, on loan from Manchester United, shone as Dortmund beat PSG 1-0 in their Champions League semi-final first leg tie on Wednesday.

He registered a stunning stat that he never achieved at Man United and became the first player to complete 10 plus dribbles in a Champions League semi-final across the last eight seasons.

After the match, he spoke to CBS Sports, where he was joined by Carragher and Peter Schmeichel, with Kate Abdo, Thierry Henry, Alessandro Del Piero and Micah Richards in the studio.

Carragher, who seemed worse for wear, ushered Sancho over for a chat, leaving Henry and Richards in disbelief back in the studio.

The Liverpool legend told the star winger that he had watched the game from Dortmund’s famous ‘Yellow Wall’ before revealing that Henry, Del Piero and Richards were ‘raving’ about his showing at Signal Iduna Park.

The camera cut to the studio, showing the Arsenal legend putting his head in his hands in a priceless moment.

“I appreciate it,” he said. “But it’s not over. We still got to go to Paris and hopefully we can get the job done there. But I appreciate the compliments.”

Schmeichel then joked that Sancho is staking a claim to be included in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad, which he hates because Denmark play England this summer.

“I take it game by game,” the 24-year-old replied.

Carragher continued by asking Sancho what allows him to perform at Dortmund following his initial spell at the club.

“I came here at 17 and they gave me the opportunity to play professional football… so I’m just delighted with all the staff and players that welcomed me back,” he added.
