Ivan Toney, a striker for Brentford, is someone Manchester United should consider acquiring this summer to give Rasmus Hojlund some competition.

Hojlund is the Red Devils’ undisputed first-choice up front right now, but without Anthony Martial, the Dane has faced zero opposition.

The Frenchman’s contract expires on June 30, so it’s possible that he played his last game for the team. He hasn’t played since January due to groyne surgery.

Toney, who might be pried away from the Bees for £40–50 million as he approaches the final year of his deal, is our choice to replace him at United.

Toney would be a perfect candidate to support Hojlund

For United, Martial has been a massive letdown under manager Erik ten Hag. Although he missed about 29 games due to injury last season, he scored several important goals.

He appears to be scheduled for release at the end of June, having followed a similar trajectory this term.

Given his powerful physical and aerial presence, Toney would be a perfect addition to the team as a replacement. Alongside the ball, he puts in a lot of effort for the team.
