Man Utd: Three signs hint that Erik ten Hag has lost dressing room ahead of sack decision

With just one victory in his past seven Premier League games, Erik ten Hag has all but eliminated Manchester United from the running for the Champions League. Due to United’s appalling performance during the Dutchman’s “trial” since the beginning of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s tenure, there is increasing anticipation that a new manager will take over for the upcoming campaign.

Ratcliffe and INEOS will probably go with a fresh start if they aren’t sure Ten Hag is the best person to lead the team into a new era. It’s said that several United players think he’s already accepted his fate.

Antony row rumours

Due to the most recent injury this season, United requested that Antony was not included in the team that flew to the Vitality Stadium.

Later in the evening, however, a number of stories stated that Ten Hag had told Antony that he intended to continue starting Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford out wide, and this had left Antony unhappy.

The 24-year-old winger has made 25 Premier League games this season without scoring a goal and with just one assist.

The fact that Ten Hag chose to spend £86 million to sign him is a serious negative mark on his record. Any player could, if he turns on the former Ajax boss.

Diogo Dalot disagreement

Only Luton Town have faced more shots in the Premier League than United this season. However, Ten Hag has insisted that it’s not a problem if his side pick up results.

His stance has drawn criticism due to the logic that any team who welcomes more shots on their goal has a higher chance of conceding.

And after the Bournemouth draw, Diogo Dalot publicly admitted that the flaw was, in fact, an issue that United players understood they had to fix.

While Dalot didn’t undermine Ten Hag directly, it was an eye-catching disagreement that must be ironed out behind the scenes.
