Manchester United include teenage forward in squad vs Bournemouth

Manchester United have included teenage forward Ethan Wheatley in their senior squad to face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium this evening.

The team led by Erik ten Hag is hoping to bounce back against Bournemouth after losing the last three league games. As a result, our chances of qualifying for the Champions League are little to none, but we still need to win our remaining games since anything can happen to Aston Villa or Tottenham.

But after their most recent match, which ended in a 2-2 draw with Liverpool, United needs to turn things around. They can’t afford to play the same match again, which Bournemouth won 3-0.

Due to injury, the Reds must accomplish that without a number of important players. Among them are Scott McTominay, Jonny Evans, and Raphael Varane.

This means United will have to make up the numbers with academy talent to fill the matchday squad.

Who is Ethan Wheatley?

Manchester World reports that Ethan Wheatley has been selected to start against Bournemouth this evening.

The Stockport-born 18-year-old is a center-forward for the outstanding U18s squad. This season, Wheatley has amassed 18 goals and five assists in all competitions, including three goals at the U21 level.

Wheatley signed his first professional deal at United in January, and he has represented England at the U17 level.
