Manchester United to sell Marcus Rashford for £100m – with the striker having already agreed exit before: report

Prior to a summer transfer, Marcus Rashford of Manchester United has been given a £100 million price tag.

That’s according to reports after the No. 10 played somewhat of an unremarkable game on Saturday away to Bournemouth. The England international finished as Manchester United’s top scorer the previous campaign, but he has only scored seven goals in 31 games this time around, making him a less effective player.

New owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be eager to make huge sales as the Red Devils prepare for a summer makeover. With multiple prominent players underperforming, there may be some unexpected departures.

Even though Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane, and other international teammates all regard United’s talisman forward highly, it’s possible that a £100 million sale is unrealistic.

The forward’s off-ball shortcomings have come to light this season, and his stock has dropped in the previous 12 months despite having only signed a new contract last year that would keep him in Manchester until 2028. Few teams could afford Rashford, much less at the price that has been inflated. United may have to lower the asking price to get PSG or another Premier League team to bite.
