“No doubts…” – Fabrizio Romano confirms Man Utd star is leaving the club

One of Erik ten Hag’s longest-serving players will be leaving Manchester United at the end of the current campaign; rumors indicate that the star’s departure is “100% confirmed.”

After a very successful debut season, Ten Hag’s season has been fairly lackluster, and the team has significantly underperformed in 23/24, likely missing out on Champions League football.

United, which is 13th in the Premier League goal total and only one goal above of relegation-threatened Luton Town, has struggled mightily this season to put the ball in the goal.

Despite the lack of attacking output, United are set to lose one of their attackers in the summer.

Given his shaky contract status, there have been rumors regarding Anthony Martial’s future for some time. However, reports have now confirmed that the 28-year-old will depart the club after nine years.

As Fabrizio Romano gave an update on the attacker’s condition via X, he confirmed Martial’s departure from the team.

“Anthony Martial will leave Man United at the end of the season, no doubts,” wrote the Italian journalist. After concentrating on his recuperation, he will select his preferred choice for the next club in the upcoming months.”

Due to injuries and Ten Hag’s apparent lack of confidence, Martial has had a difficult season at United and is now surplus to requirements as his contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.

The 28-year-old has only started five times this season and has scored just one goal, which came against Everton.

Martial has already been handed a blow in his search for a new club as according to French outlet Jeunes Footeux, Olympique Lyonnais have rejected the opportunity to sign the striker on a free transfer in the summer.
