Ratcliffe lost as a new Man Utd contract negotiations fall through, guaranteeing a summer exit.

Raphael Varane’s contract has not been extended by Manchester United manager Sir Jim Ratcliffe, despite supposedly having fresh negotiations with the defender.

This season, Varane has made 30 appearances for Manchester United, 21 of which have been in the Premier League. The center back’s lone goal of the season came on the first day of action against Wolverhampton Wanderers, when he headed in the game-winning goal in the 76th minute.

Varane’s contract expires at the end of the current season, but Manchester United has the option to extend it for an additional year.

According to prior rumors, Man Utd will permit the Frenchman to depart as a free agent in the summer while Ratcliffe works to implement a defensive makeover.

However, Football Insider claims that the British billionaire is eager to sign Varane to new contract terms.

Ratcliffe has had new conversations regarding Varane’s stay extension at Manchester United with the player’s camp.

Varane will now likely be moving this summer as a result of the most recent negotiations failing to produce a resolution.

The Man United player may join Lens in Ligue 1 in Saudi Arabia or France, where Varane first played.

Varane’s first big break came at Ligue 1 team Lens, and they’re hoping to tie the knot. As an alternative, the 30-year-old might get in touch with Cristiano Ronaldo, his former Real Madrid teammate.

Varane’s circumstances are being monitored by a number of Saudi Pro League teams, with Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr hoping to win the transfer race.
