The road to next summer’s UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 is heating up, with seven spots still available in the final tournament. Here’s a look at the latest results from the first leg of the qualifying play-offs.

Round 1: Path 1

  • Romania 1-2 Poland
  • Greece 0-0 Belgium
  • Montenegro 0-1 Finland
  • Georgia 0-6 Republic of Ireland
  • Slovenia 0-3 Austria
  • Luxembourg 0-4 Sweden
  • Belarus 1-8 Czechia
  • Albania 0-5 Norway

Guro Bergsvand netted twice as Norway defeated Albania 5-0, with Frida Maanum and Ada Hegerberg also finding the target. In Romania, Poland came from behind to win with Ewa Pajor scoring a late penalty in the 89th minute after the hosts were reduced to ten players. Finland clinched a 1-0 win over Montenegro thanks to Linda Sällström’s early third-minute goal, while Belgium drew 0-0 in Greece despite dominating with 27 shots.

Austria scored three late goals to defeat Slovenia, with Barbara Dunst opening the scoring, Sarah Puntigam converting a penalty, and Lilli Purtscheller adding the third. Sweden, meanwhile, saw goals from Filippa Angeldahl, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Stina Blackstenius, and Evelyn Ijeh in their 4-0 victory over Luxembourg. Czechia ran away with an 8-1 win in Belarus, even after receiving a red card in the 55th minute.

Round 1: Path 2

  • Türkiye 1-1 Ukraine
  • Croatia 1-1 Northern Ireland
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-2 Serbia
  • Azerbaijan 1-4 Portugal
  • Hungary 0-1 Scotland
  • Slovakia 2-1 Wales

Scotland earned a narrow 1-0 away win over Hungary, with Martha Thomas scoring the only goal. Northern Ireland managed a dramatic stoppage-time own goal to draw with Croatia. Ffion Morgan scored late for Wales, keeping their hopes alive despite a 2-1 loss to Slovakia. Portugal dominated Azerbaijan with a 4-1 win, including early goals from Ana Capeta and Tatiana Pinto.

The second legs of these play-offs are set for Tuesday, 28 October.
