United set to lose out on another prodigy as Spurs swoop for Argentinian gem while Ineos dither – report

Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly poised to secure Franco Mastantuono, taking advantage of Manchester United’s indecisiveness.

Ineos faces another difficult summer transfer window at Old Trafford, with uncertainty surrounding United’s budget and recruitment strategy.

Given the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, it is unlikely that Ruben Amorim will receive a substantial transfer budget, and he may encounter further obstacles if the Red Devils do not achieve European qualification for the upcoming season.

In contrast, Chelsea seems to be in a more favorable position than United, having surprised many by quickly finalizing a deal for Amorim’s key target, Geovany Quenda, from Sporting CP. Meanwhile, Tottenham is attempting to outmaneuver the Manchester club in pursuit of a highly regarded forward.

As reported by GIVEMESPORT, Spurs have initiated talks regarding a transfer for Mastantuono.

Often compared to Phil Foden for his technical skills, the River Plate talent has emerged as one of Argentina’s most promising young players, attracting interest from various clubs, including United.

However, Tottenham has received a “significant boost” in their efforts to acquire the Argentine, as United has chosen to focus on other targets.

Reports suggest that the chances of the Lilywhites signing the 17-year-old have improved, as United remains skeptical about the pace of his development compared to alternative options.

The talented attacking midfielder’s contract features a release clause estimated at around £38 million, but it is believed that United’s financial constraints could also create an opportunity for Spurs to finalize a deal for Mastantuono.

Notwithstanding the concerning situation, it is reported that United will persist in observing the Argentina U20 international, as he is held in high regard by influential figures within the club.

Recently, The Peoples Person shared a report indicating that United has adjusted their transfer strategy following their failure to secure Quenda and are no longer focused on acquiring a right-sided wing-back.

As the season draws to a close, the club’s leadership must identify crucial targets and approach the transfer market with a clear strategy if they aim to provide Amorim with his desired signings.
